Who We Are:
We are a home of teachers, non-profit activists blue color workers, and gardeners who love our home. We've been in the Bayview since 2006. |
We are the family of The Bayview Barnyard in San Francisco. We have been in love with this house since the day we walked in, and are excited to have finally bought our home. Since 2006 we have fostered many connections to the neighborhood, and a strong community has developed, centered around this house. We use the upstairs unit for for neighborhood safety meetings and many children and families in the community benefit from our prolific organic garden. Downstairs we have an art studio and home office space.
We are incredibly lucky to have a generous friends who helped us crowd fund our home in 2016. As people who work for nonprofits and as teachers, getting to stay in our home is important so we can continue our work in the community. It touched our hearts deeply that over 500 people in our community love what we do in San Francisco and our Bayview community that they helped us raise over 60,000 in 60 days to help us with our down payment!

A peek into our creative home in the Bayview

Meet some of the people who have lived in and care for the Bayview Barnyard.
This is the wording we used on our offer....and IT GOT ACCEPTED!
|
We are making a very competitive offer, hoping to make it easy for you just to accept without the need for countering or significant deliberation.
- We are offering an all cash, no loan or appraisal contingency offer. We can close in 15 days if needed although 30 is preferred.
- We have understanding of the repair needs and structural issues. No inspection contingency will be needed. We have been working with Charles for years to keep the house up and are dedicated to fixing up our “fixer-upper”.
- We were told that Charles’ trust will benefit Doctors Without Borders. We LOVE Doctors Without Borders! We all work for non-profits and in the educational sector - we are mission-driven people. We’d love to know that our offer went to support people worldwide.
- We already live here (and for 3 of 5 of us, it’s also our home office) and there would be no costly relocation payments or stressful eviction risks, for any involved parties.
THIS WAS THE APPEAL TO THE REALTOR TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO SELL TO US...AND WE DID IT!
We hope to live and garden here until we are very old. If we can’t buy our home, we might have to leave San Francisco, our home of the last two decades. If that happens our hearts will break. Please help our family stay in the home and community we have created here in the Bayview. Please take our situation into consideration when reviewing our offer. We want to stay in our home.
